How do i bowl better?

I have recently started bowling. I don’t feel that i am doing so bad. I have an average score of 120. Does anyone have any tips on how to bring the score up? How do you get the ball to curve? How are you to release the ball without your thumb getting caught in the ball? (I have my own ball drilled to my hand and it still gets stuck)

Stay low swing your right leg behind your left (if you are right handed) and keep your thumb point at the head pin all the way through your follow through. That will get you good enough and then if you really want to you could get into putting some spin on the ball. To put spin on it stick only your two fingers in the ball, not your thumb. Start on the right side of the lane and roll your wrist from palm up position to palm down as you throw the ball. It will take some practice so stay committed. As far as your thumb getting stuck, you could try some chalk or baby powder on your thumb but what that really means is they should have drilled the hole for your thumb a lttle bigger
