Can you think of a theme for a bowling party?

I don’t want people sitting around not saying anything to each other because it makes me sad
but i was thinking of a theme to get everyone “pumped” or have fun a little bit
except it’s hard to think of one when you have a birthday bowling party. I was thinking a Pajama Theme, but the whole issue of wearing the pj’s TO the bowling alley, people looking, issue if it’s rude etc. so can you think of any other themes and small games we can all play while waiting to bowl?

I think 50s or 70s themes work really well for bowling. They are easy enough to do and people won’t be looked at too weirdly when they go into the bowling alley. Whatever you choose make sure it is easy enough for them to wear while bowling. I would also suggest a pirate theme – but that can become a bit more complicated. Maybe go really simple and just do something like a crazy sock party? (At least that makes sure that people don’t forget to wear socks to the bowling alley!)
