Why do women in general still conform to the stereotype that women can’t play video games?
Me and some dudes play Nintendo Wii on the weekends and occasionally girls would come over and play with us. They would attempt to play but still don’t know what to do, despite the incredible simplicity of the Wii, which should be very intuitive. For example, she wouldn’t know what to do in Wii Sports Tennis or how to play wii bowling when the simple instructions were right in front of them in plain sight.
I don’t know, it’s either that girls in general are really dumb at video games (most guys I met who were new to Wii learned how to play quickly) or act dumb when playing video games (complaining about the difficulty, forgetting controls, etc.) so they don’t appear nerdy.
If it’s the latter, then ladies, stop it! Being good at video games
is actually very attractive. So what you’re doing now is counter-productive. I thought women wanted gender equality….well this is one of the things that will enable them to
gain a giant leap towards that goal.
Most girls tend to act like they’re clue less about anything involving electronics. I, on the other hand, know my stuff. I’m a better gamer than many a guys out there, and I’m good with computers. And no I’m DEFINATELY not nerdy….on the outside.
